The University of Oregon Community Services Center (CSC) in partnership with other groups and organizations (e.g., EWEB) is seeking copies of "Seller Surveys" for a Voluntary Incentive Program (VIP) or Payment for Ecological Services (PES).  We are in the exploratory stage of creating a VIP or PES program to help protect and enhance the ecological health of the McKenzie River Watershed.  This program would invite land holders in the watershed who are stewards of import ecological functions to become part of this program for protection and enhancement.  Ple

The International Journal of Ecological Economics and Statistics (Vol. 26, Issue No.3, 2012) has just published a special volume titled "Socioeconomics and Management of Bioprospecting". The new volume gathers together ideas presented at the CBD conference in Nagoya last October, revealing the difference in opinion between stakeholders in developed and developing countries as well as a variety of approaches.
