The prestigious Oxford Review of Economic Policy has just released a thematic issue on "Economics and Biodiversity" AND it is offering open access for a limited period of time.

The Chadwick Arboretum is notifying everyone who notices trees on the Ohio State Campus of their value in terms of dollars worth of ecosystem services.  I was recently in Columbus for the EcoSummit and thought I'd share what we saw.   This is great way to promote awareness about the value of urban forests and a way to share about ecosystem services in general.  I have no idea about the methods used to caluculate values.  Attached is a map from the arboretum showing the location of all the urban trees with identified values and a few pictures of the signage.&nbsp

Hello team,

I am testing the Commons as a web portal for our NESP-FRMES community of practice.   I've invited you all to this platform so we could test it.  I know the USFS is interested in the idea of a forum that can be used outside their agency for sharing documents and disucssion.   I hope that this may work for that and our broader community.  

Please feel free to test posting and discussions.  I think we can find a way to delete unwanted items later.
