The Conservation Registry tracks and maps wildlife, habitat and other conservation and restoration across the landscape. It is a central, online repository of on-the-ground project information, the goals of which are:
1. To facilitate informed decision-making
2. To create opportunities for collaboration
3. To provide context and effectiveness for conservation work
4. To offer free basic project management tools
The Conservation Registry started in Oregon, Washington and Idaho in 2008 as a pilot project but has since grown to over 95,000 projects in all 50 US states and a few in Canada. To date it is the most comprehensive repository of on-the-ground project information in the US. Our users are local, state and federal agencies, landowners, nonprofits and businesses.
The National Conservation Easement Database has a portal in the Conservation Registry, through which users can explore the thousands of conservation easements across the US.
